So what the hell is an intention anyway?

An intention isn't a wish or a hope. It's not "I want to lose 20 pounds" or "I hope my ex calls me back."

An intention is a deliberate, focused statement of what you're creating in your life.
It's a commitment to yourself and the universe.
It's saying: "This is what I'm calling in, and I'm taking aligned action to make it happen."

Think of it like planting a garden. You don't just throw seeds on the ground and hope for the best.
You prepare the soil (do the inner work).
You plant with intention (get clear on what you want).
You water it (take action).
You trust the process (surrender the how and when).

Here's how to set a New Moon intention that​
actually works:

1. Get quiet.
Turn off your phone.
Light a candle.
Sit somewhere you won't be interrupted.
This isn't about performing some elaborate ritual - it's about getting OUT of your head and INTO your heart.​

2. Ask yourself:
​What do I want to call into my life this month?
Not what your mom wants for you.
Not what looks good on Instagram.
What do YOU actually want?

3. Write it down.
​Use present tense like it's already happening: "I am..." or "I have..."
Your subconscious doesn't know the difference between what's real and what you're affirming as truth.

​4. Feel it.
This is the secret sauce.
Don't just write words on paper - actually FEEL what it would be like to have this thing in your life.
Let that feeling wash over you.
Embody it.

5. Release it.
Once you've set your intention, let it go.
Trust that the universe heard you.
Now your job is to take aligned action and watch for signs.
